We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Head of Marketing to help us achieve our goals and to put our mark on our industry. This senior management marketing role is overall responsible for the marketing plan and digital growth strategy, all marketing campaigns and performance metrics. Leading a performance marketing strategy, the role will manage a team that creates sales funnels and social media campaigns and will contribute to the continual optimisation through testing new ideas and strategies. This role will oversee the entire department on a day to day basis including a media buyer, funnel builder, analyst, content marketing manager and copywriters.  The role will manage the team to high performance, provide focus and keep the team accountable to achieve their goals and drive business growth.

Responsibilities: 
  • Set an innovative strategic direction for the department quarterly with the management team in order to meet overall revenue growth objectives and review weekly, and then execute and monitor the strategy 
  • Project and monitor sales for the quarter using funnel performance models and be quick to adapt the strategy for success 
  • Analyse performance reports, KPIs and success metrics daily in order to achieve business growth across all sales funnels and other marketing campaign activities and share these results to the wider business (i.e. CPA/ROAS/AOV)
  • Daily planning meetings with the media buyer, funnel builder, content creator and analyst to review the day before, correct weak points, assess revenue opportunities for the next 24 hours and assign and drive the day’s tasks 
  • Lead the team as they split-test sales funnels and implement new offers, copy and content on the daily to optimise performance
  • Hold one on one meetings with each direct report weekly to keep team members focused, build employee relationships, grow their capabilities and reinforce a high performance culture 
  • Create and direct all projects and campaigns within the department, delegating accordingly and managing capacity of each team member to ensure quality of work and to set deadlines 
  • Oversee the collaboration and approvals between the Content Marketing Manager and external copy writers, creative designers and social media and PR agencies
  • Collaborate with the email marketing manager on email marketing strategy and performance 
  • Maintain monthly budget for the department 
  • Manage department recruitment needs in line with objectives including hire, promote and terminate employees as required 
  • Lead the development  and execution of launch plans and strategy for new products, collaborating with the product development team
  • Optimise structure, SOPs and work flows to organise work and increase performance 
  • Continuously look for new opportunities within the market, other sales channels and to improve the customer journey and experience 

Essential skills: 
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role (experience in the health and fitness industry a plus but not essential)
  • A highly skilled results driven digital marketing marketer with a performance marketing focus seeking constant improvement and understanding of new opportunities in this field 
  • Experience working with teams including copywriters, designers, video editors, and media teams in particular Facebook ads
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse and use data to draw conclusions, drive decision making, problem solve and direct strategy
  • A strategic thinker, competent in developing and executing strategic plans  and communicating these ideas and plans to the team 
  • Strong leadership skills and team development experience to inspire and drive results and success through the team, in particular in a remote environment
  • Impeccable organisation and time management skills to keep a highly creative and fast paced team focused and accountable to meet deadlines and see projects through to successful completion 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill to know how to build and foster positive professional relationships amongst a small team and with collaborators and stakeholders 
  • Thrives in an autonomous environment - a driven, productive and motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic 
  • Produces well thought through and calculated decision making, and quality work with high attention to detail, even in a fast paced environment
  • A positive, energetic and outgoing person who enjoys a vibrant company culture 
  • Familiarity with Google and Microsoft applications, and understanding of digital tools such as Slack, Trello, WordPress, e-commerce platforms
  • Native English speaker, or verbal and written fluency to mother tongue level 
  • Must be based in Europe and be able to start before the end of the year
